Overview

Series 9000 Mist/Preformed Spray Scrubber Systems are available in sizes from 1,000 to 75,000 acfm, consume less energy than a venturi scrubber for removal of solid particulates in the 1 to 5 micron range, and are widely used for simultaneous removal of solid particulate and gaseous pollutants. Collection efficiency of the scrubber is increased or decreased by adjusting the nozzle spray pressure and a specially designed involute section eliminates any bypass of untreated gas past the spray zone.

Optional scrubbing liquid distribution nozzles are available in a two fluid design for combined gas and liquid phase mass transfer for contaminant gases that require a gas phase reaction for removal. Additional components such as packed bed sections, chevron and mesh type mist eliminators for further gas treatment or entrainment removal can be included in the vessel to meet any application requirement.
